PREMISE:
The increadible account of Alexander Contract's rise to captain in the Russian KGB who, by a twist of fate, became a personal bodyguard/foodtaster and confidant of Joseph Stalin.

Alexander Contract at Conference with Stalin SYNOPSIS:
Based on the book The Back Room and true life story of Alexander "Sasha" Contract, this motion picture takes us behind the scenes in the Kremlin where Stalin assembled his young staff of trusted assistants, foodtasters, all-purpose spies, interpreters and bodyguards for his daughter giving some of them unimaginable power and access to the vast Soviet Empire.

Imagine staying up to the wee-hours of the night smoking cigars, drinking brandy and watching cowboy movies with Josef Stalin. For four and a half years Sasha was one of Stalin's top-secret, trusted boys, all in their twenties, who did exactly this. In this absorbing, often disturbing motion picture, Sasha gives us a first-hand look behind the Iron Curtain at Stalin's empire-building ploys, his jokes, his womanizing, his "warm fatherly-side" and his cold-blooded cruelty.

Sasha Contract was not just an ordinary Soviet agent, he was the only Jew in Stalin's inner circle, surviving against all odds in the face of true evil, he was decorated with eleven military awards for bravery before defecting with valuable information for the U.S. government. As Sasha traces his own life, from his early days in the KGB and his work with Nikita Khruschev, to his defection to the U.S. in 1949 (with the personal help of Harry Truman), his position as the "ultimate outsider on the inside" gives the motion picture an eyewitness perspective, revealing information about the former Soviet Union never before in the public domain.
