VP FINANCE/CFO

Matrixx Entertainment is looking for a VP Finance to execute the responsibilities of chief financial officer of the corporation. The successful candidate must be an experienced CPA familiar with the motion picture industry in general as well as audits, tax preparation, projections, royalty financing, private placements, public offerings and business affairs as such pertain to the development, production and marketing of individual feature projects and their consolidation in financial statements. The successful candidate must also have a working relationship with a nationally recognized accountancy.


VP QUALITY CONTROL

Matrixx Entertainment is looking for a VP of Quality Control who will be responsible for the following:

o Maintaining course curricula for company employees and private students.
o Supervising the sale of manuals, courses and consulting.
o Licensing and supervising entrepreneurs in the establishment and operation of production companies.
o Training and evaluating employees and students.
o Handling personnel and student ethics matters.
o Supervising the book, film, tape and photo library of the company.
o Supervising a staff of reference clerks, research assistants and course supervisors.

MIS MANAGER/CIO

Matrixx Entertainment is looking for an executive with a strong, integrated background in computers, telecommunications, video and audio who can locate, hire and supervise hardware technicians and software engineers in an effective manner. Must be familiar with all aspects of digital and analog technology, transferring between domains, ATM, ADSL, internet and intranet. Send requests to attention of VP Administration.


COMPUTER TECHNICIANS

BackBone Enterprises, MEC's technical division, is looking for a qualified bench technician who is familiar with the following as such apply to PCs and UNIX systems:

o ATM and ADSL.
o Networking and routers.
o System setups and configurations.
o Upgrading and replacing hardware (such as hard drives, floppy drives, memory, video/audio cards).
o Installing and setting up peripherals (such as printers, back up systems, monitors, modems).
o Establishing and specializing in preventive protocols.
o General troubleshooting and maintenance.

READERS

dNa DevelopMent, a div of MEC, is looking for people who want to read screenplays and fill out Reader Reports. Reader Reports on screenplays are welcome so long as you report in a professional, non-derogatory way, a way in which the writer can benefit because you have presented a carefully considered view of the pros and cons of the writing.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

o Like reading and read quickly with the ability to visualize what is being described.
o Be able to evaluate both the negative and positive aspects of a screenplay without attacking the writer.
o Have the ability to make Reader Reports on the following: character development, dialogue, setting, creativity, writer's style, feasibility of the story, structure, subplots, premise and whether the ending (or catharsis) of the story was effective.
o Must regularly see movies (at least 3 or 4 theatrical features per month and rent at least 2 or 3 videos per week) so he or she is in a position to recognize relatively original material, when encountered.
o Lead an active life with extensive experience and/or awareness of a wide range of lifestyles, cultures, people, places, and situations.
o Must have a broad-based education, whether formal or self-taught.
o Reader must able to summarize a story (if one exists) in 1 to 3 lines and make a bottom-line recommendation on the entire premise as to whether a movie should or should not be based upon the literary property being evaluated.

FIELD PRODUCERS

The Company is looking for Field Producers who are interested in developing, packaging, financing, arranging distribution and/or supervising various projects found here. A Field Producer is a writer, director and/or entrepreneur that takes his or her project to a studio, name talent or financing entity on behalf of Matrixx Productions, a division of MEC. As promotion takes place, the Field Producer fills out progress reports with the following information:

Our doors are wide open to any and all acting talent no matter who you are or what country you are living in.

Send your picture and a short tape of your performance if you have one. If you can, we would appreciate knowing:

a. the genre of films you enjoy working in the most.
b. what kinds of specific parts you want more of.
c. what kind of parts you and others feel you do best in.

ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONS

If you're looking for a starting position in the motion picture industry, Matrixx Entertainment, is looking for able and enthusiastic people who want to learn and work in the business on a full- or part-time basis, while they earn and/or learn.

Starting positions are Production Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Salesperson, Secretary, Messenger, Coordinator, Location Scout, Expediter and Communicator. Starting wage is $10 per hour for graduates of the basic orientation courses.
