We are looking for Readers from around the world to read screenplays on a volunteer or deferred basis.
If you are a competent reader and follow the Reader Rules, we can offer you the opportunity to be exposed to some of the best and most original screenplays written as well as some of the ones that need (much) more work.
The vast majority of the screenplays on the Shelf have been submitted by writers who are NOT affiliated with the company. The screenplays that have been optioned, purchased or developed by the company are clearly marked, so if you choose NOT to read one of these (possibly because you are a Writer who does not want to give any "advantage" to one of your competitors), that is your peroggative.
If you are in the movie business, the chance to read a wide variety of screenplays (and give professional feedback which will be taken seriously by the company), can help you in your career. As you know a good movie doesn't happen until and unless a good screenplay has happened.
If you are NOT in the movie business, the chance to read screenplays can be extremely enjoyable, educational and even entertaining -- not to mention the thrill you will get when one of the movies you recommended is produced and playing to movie-goers around the world and possibly in your neighborhood.
Our goal, as the world's first virtual movie studio, is to make and distribute quality movies to audiences in every country. Therefore, we need your help as a Reader to inform us of what kinds of screenplays will be viable in your country.
As the company progresses, we will be hiring additional Readers on a salary basis. The Readers who will be given first priority will be the ones who have proven they can deliver well done Reader Reports and follow the Reader Rules. Please do not read if you are relying on this statement as past, current or future consideration for any Reader Reports you may have submitted or will submit.
