Matrixx Productions is an independent production company that was founded in 1981 in Studio City California. It produces TV commercials, documentaries and features. Matrixx Productions is a division of Matrixx Entertainment.

What is Matrixx Entertainment?
Matrixx Entertainment Corporation (MEC) is a Delaware corporation with about 50 stockholders, mostly in California, New York and Pennsylvania. MEC is a virtual movie studio, called virtual because many of its operations take place over the Internet. MEC is the parent company to Matrixx Productions, MOVIE PUBS (its book publishing division) and MID (its Internet distribution division). MEC was incorporated in 1990.

Who is James Jaeger?
James Jaeger is a producer-director who has worked in Hollywood as well as the East Coast film industry for over 20 years. A pioneer in broadband distribution of motion pictures over the Internet, James began his professional career in 1973 starting at the Valley Forge Music Fair on such shows as THE CARPENTERS, THE DAVID BRENNER SHOW, THE PEGGY FLEMMING SHOW and THE SONNY & CHER SHOW. SNAPSHOT BLUES is a romantic comedy about a photographer who falls in love with the lead singer in a rock band.

Who stars in SNAPSHOT BLUES?
Monique Gabrielle and Andrew Cofrin star in the picture. Monique Gabrielle is best known for her work in BACHLOR PARTY, PROBLEM CHILD, DEATHSTALKER, EMMANUELLE, AIRPLANE and FLASHDANCE. She has also made numerous appearances in both Penthouse and Playboy. Andrew Cofrin has appeared on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as well as numerous pilots, TV shows and low-budget features.

Who produced SNAPSHOT BLUES?
SNAPSHOT BLUES was produced by James Jaeger and Andrew Cofrin. Philip Steuer was associate producer and managed the production. James Jaeger has produced numerous TV commercials, documentaries and events and worked for Columbia Pictures/CBS as an associate producer/assistent to the producer on 3 Movies of the Week. Andrew Cofrin has financed and produced numerous TV shows and pilots, among which were PEER PRESSURE, THE PICKUP and THE ASSIGNMENT. Philip Steuer began his career as a property master and has risen through the ranks of production management to executive producer on numerous features, including THE ROOKIE, THE ALAMO and the NARNIA films.

When and where was SNAPSHOT BLUES shot?
SNAPSHOT BLUES was shot a number of years ago in various locations around the state of California including Westwood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Studio City, West LA, Santa Monica, Lake Arrowhead, the Dried Up Lakebeds, Big Bear and Barsto. Principal photography was 18 days with 3 days of pickups. 102 talent, staff and crew worked on the production.

Has SNAPSHOT BLUES been released?
Yes it has been translated into a number of languages including Spanish, Greek and Scandanavian and released in the foreign markets under the title of OVER EXPOSED. The picture was not originally intended for domestic U.S. release and thus was not completed for American audiences until now when it was re-edited with additional scenes, new titles, new sound and additional music in 2004. SNAPSHOT BLUES has also been re-mastered digitally and is now available for the first time as a DVD product.

Has SNAPSHOT BLUES made any money?
Yes, it has been sold so far to a number of countries in the foreign market and generated 3 times its negative cost. These sales were made at the CANNES Film Festival, the American Film Market (AFM) and MIFED.

What additional markets will SNAPSHOT BLUES be released in?
The primary markets will be homevideo/DVD, cable and network TV (domestic U.S.) and similar markets in 5 to 10 additional foreign territories. It will go to video-on-demand at Pay-Per-View.com and the Home Video Network, both of which services are owned and operated by Matrixx Internet Distribution, a division of MEC.

What is James Jaeger's next narrative dramatic film?

It depends on what gets financed next. The company has several features in development among which are FAIR WEATHER FRIENDS (budgeted at $500,000); SPLASH OF RED (budgeted at $19 million) and ECHOSPHERES (budgeted at $37 million). Also in development and seeking financing are a number of documentaries, among which are THE IMMORTAL CELL (theraputic cloning); ENTERING SPACE (manned missions to Mars and other planets); DRUNK ON OIL (Earth's energy problem) and THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND (a second look at the Federal Reserve). How many people work at Matrixx?
Depending on whether we are in production as few as 5 or as many as 100+.

Do you have any job openings?
Occasionally, however we are not currently hiring. When we start our next project we will be glad to consider your services if you send us your resume and a cover letter describing what you are looking for.

Are you looking for any screenplays?
In the past 5 years we have developed about 10 screenplays and optioned over 100. We are thus, at this time, not looking for any more screenplays. We ARE however always interested in knowing about writers who are looking for future assignments, both on-spec and for-hire, and would encourage them to send us their resume along with a short sample of their writing.

Are you looking for any actors?
We are always interested in knowing about actors who want to be considered for future projects and encourage them to send us an 8 X 10 glossy photograph along with their training and credits. Don't forget to include your address, phone AND email (if you have one) on the BACK of your 8 X 10 glossy otherwise we will not be able to keep it in our files for more than 12 months.

Who financed SNAPSHOT BLUES?
SNAPSHOT BLUES was financed by Andrew Cofrin, James Jaeger, Jack Fallon and Eugene Jaeger, Jr. Most of the financing was put up by Andrew Cofrin who's grandfather founded the Ft. Howard Paper Company with annual sales in excess of $20 billion. Jack Fallon, President and CEO of Fallon Engineering, put up the second largest amount of the financing. Jack was one of the key engineers that designed the Atlas rocket engines.
