MATRIXX ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION, also known as MEC, is an entertainment company which acquires and develops screenplays, produces features and documentaries, offers training manuals, courses and consulting, provides post production services, and distributes movies over the Internet. To this end, the company is organized into the following divisions:
Matrixx Productions® -- MEC's production division, produces feature motion pictures for theatrical, homevideo and Internet release as its primary function. Documentaries which increase public awareness on important subjects are produced as a secondary function. Matrixx Productions was founded in 1981 in Hollywood, California.

dNa DevelopMenttm -- MEC's screenplay division, acquires literary properties and works with Screenwriters from around the world to develop film ideas into treatments and full-length screenplays. Screenplays acquired or developed are produced by Matrixx Productions (and in partnership with other production companies) or sold to other entities. dNa was established in 1985 in Santa Monica, California.
